Delta-neutral strategy
A high APY on a coin that can halve is not a yield, it is a coupon on risk. A delta-neutral position takes price out of the equation: the coin earns interest while a short on the perpetual covers the same amount. What remains is the interest plus the funding the short collects or pays. VVARB works that difference out across 1,500+ rates from four exchanges and thousands of DeFi pools.
Rates come from the public APIs of four exchanges - Binance, Bybit, OKX and Gate.io - and from DefiLlama for DeFi pools with real TVL. We do not show a rate we cannot fetch for everyone: venues whose earn desks sit behind a signed request are simply absent. Each rate carries its own caveats: whether it is tiered (the headline applies only to the first slice of the deposit) and whether it is an estimate for the next period rather than a fixed rate.
For every rate the service finds a perpetual on the same coin and picks the venue where funding favours a short most. Positive funding means the short is paid, so it adds to the APY; negative funding subtracts. Enter an amount and a term and instead of abstract percentages you see money: the interest, what funding adds or eats, and the margin the short needs.
Funding is re-quoted every few hours, so annualised it is a snapshot, not a forecast. A rate of +200% a year only says that shorts are being paid generously right now - usually because the coin is overbought, and that passes. Hence the "cut off above" slider: it drops the triple-digit rates and leaves what has a chance of still being there tomorrow.
People who already hold coins on an exchange and want them working without turning into a market bet. People who trade funding and need the spot side of the position. And people who simply want the best stablecoin rate across four exchanges and a thousand DeFi pools without opening ten tabs.
